Happy Monday friends! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to photograph Mariah + Eric’s engagement photos! They flew all the way from Dallas, to shoot with me at the Monahans Sandhills! Let me just say they were the perfect couple to photograph there! The photos came out amazing!
Mariah contacted me a few months ago, and I was thrilled she was interested in doing her engagement photos at the Monahans Sandhills. The Sandhills are such a beautiful place to photograph at! During the photoshoot we had the chance to do every single pose we were looking for. We also had the perfect weather for a shoot! It was more on the chilly side, which was amazing since we did a lot of walking! ( the sand makes that 1000% more tiring) so it was so nice that it wasn’t hot! 🙂
During the session I really got to know Mariah + Eric, they are so outgoing as well as adventurous and sweet!
Heres a bit about them:
How they met:
They met their 3rd semester of college in 2010, had a few classes together. Mariah says she was the total school nerd while he was quite the opposite so she would help him study and bring up his grades. As they got to know each other more and more they started to date. In August of 2011 they got their first place together and they were going to different schools but still finished college together.
“How he proposed:
In 2015 they went to Cabo, Mexico to celebrate their 5 year anniversary and did zip lining and horseback riding on the beach and thats where he proposed. She always told him she wouldn’t want a huge crowd for stuff like that so it was perfect since they had a private horseback ride on the beach and were by themselves. How adorable!
Some of their favorite things to do:
1. Going to the lake (or any body of water) as we they do a lot of water sports (wake surf, wake board, paddle board etc)
2. Traveling and seeing new places
3. Snowboarding/going to the mountains
4. Taking their dog Zenna everywhere we can
How adorable are they?
To Mariah + Eric congrats on your upcoming wedding! Have a lot of fun during the planning, and thanks so much for letting me photograph such a beautiful moment in your lives!
